Benefits
When an emergency strikes, the last thing you should worry about is equipment failure. The Varun 443 solves this by using a fully enclosed gear system that prevents debris, ice, or sand from jamming the movement, ensuring you can aim the stream perfectly every time. Its stainless steel waterway is specifically designed to resist the harsh effects of salt air and chemicals, significantly extending the life of the product compared to standard monitors. The low-profile design provides a lower center of gravity, which reduces stress on your piping system and increases stability while discharging massive volumes of water.
Usage / How to Use
This monitor is ideally suited for permanent installation in oil refineries, petrochemical plants, offshore platforms, and aviation hangars. It is mounted onto a pressurized water manifold using its flanged base. During an incident, the operator uses the two integrated handwheels to rotate and tilt the monitor toward the fire. If equipped with a Jet Ratio Controller, it can automatically proportion foam for chemical fires. The worm gear design ensures the monitor stays in its last position even when unattended, allowing for safe, hands-free operation once the aim is set.
