Usage / How to Use

The FCA and FCA-S Foam Chambers are primarily installed on the vertical walls of flammable liquid storage tanks, specifically designed for fixed roof, open top floating roof, and covered floating roof tanks. During a fire emergency, a proportioning system pumps foam solution to the chamber. As the solution passes through the internal stainless steel orifice, air is drawn in to expand the liquid into foam. The expanding foam breaks the glass vapour seal and is directed by the deflector against the tank wall, allowing it to slide down smoothly and cover the burning fuel surface without agitating the liquid.
