Usage / How to Use

Pendent sprinklers are designed for installation on concealed piping systems where the head hangs down from the ceiling, making them ideal for offices, hotels, and retail stores. Upright sprinklers are used where piping is exposed, such as in warehouses, parking garages, and mechanical rooms, as they sit atop the pipe and spray water upwards against a deflector. During installation, a qualified technician threads the sprinkler into the fire water branch line using the standard NPT connection. Once the system is pressurized, the sprinkler remains on standby. If a fire occurs, the heat-sensitive liquid inside the glass bulb expands and shatters the glass at the pre-determined temperature, allowing the water pressure to release the seal and discharge through the deflector plate.
