Benefits
Installing fire sprinkler heads in modern commercial ceilings can be a labor-intensive challenge when using rigid piping. This flexible drop system solves that problem by allowing installers to center the sprinkler head in the ceiling tile with millimetric precision without the need for complex cutting or threading on-site. The corrugated stainless steel hose provides superior flexibility while maintaining the structural integrity required for high-pressure fire suppression. By significantly reducing labor time and eliminating the need for expensive welding or precision threading of hard pipes, these drops lower the total project cost. Additionally, the flexibility of the hose protects the sprinkler system from damage caused by seismic activity or settling of the building structure, providing a more resilient fire safety infrastructure.
Usage / How to Use
This product is primarily used in commercial buildings with suspended T-bar ceiling grids, such as offices, hospitals, and shopping malls. To install, the heavy-duty square bar is secured across the ceiling grid using the provided side brackets. The flexible stainless steel hose is then connected to the main fire water branch line using the threaded nipple. The other end of the hose is secured to the center of the square bar using the reducer and center bracket. Once the hose is locked into place, the fire sprinkler head is threaded into the reducer. This allows the head to be positioned exactly in the center of the ceiling tile before the system is pressurized.
