Description
Introduction
Maximize your industrial safety with the Vajra 331 S Water Powered Oscillating Monitor, a state of the art solution for automated fire suppression. Designed for high risk facilities where manual operation is too dangerous, this heavy duty cast bronze monitor sweeps water or foam automatically across a designated area. By utilizing the energy of the flowing water itself, it eliminates the need for complex external power sources, making it incredibly reliable during emergency power failures.
Key Features
Fully automatic oscillating mechanism driven entirely by a built in water wheel
Heavy duty cast bronze construction for extreme durability and corrosion resistance
Adjustable sweeping angle from 0 to 120 degrees with six secure set points
Operates completely without external electrical wiring or hydraulic control systems
High capacity flow rate delivering up to 1000 gallons per minute or 3800 lpm
Maximum operating pressure of 12 kg per sq cm or 175 psi
Premium double row of stainless steel ball bearings with integrated grease fittings
Fully UL Listed for guaranteed safety and dependable emergency performance
Benefits
The Vajra 331 S completely revolutionizes facility protection by removing the need for an operator to manually aim the water stream in dangerous heat zones. Because the oscillating motion is powered directly by the water flow, it guarantees performance even if your facility loses electrical power during a major incident. Its rugged cast bronze body solves the issue of rapid equipment failure in highly corrosive marine or chemical environments. By allowing you to set the exact sweeping angle, it ensures that water is not wasted and is concentrated exactly where the hazard exists, maximizing suppression efficiency.
Usage / How to Use
This oscillating monitor is engineered for fixed installation in hazardous locations such as aircraft hangars, oil refineries, chemical storage tank farms, and marine loading docks. To deploy, the unit is securely bolted to a pressurized fire water supply manifold. Before an emergency, the safety engineer adjusts the mechanical oscillation stops to define the sweep angle anywhere between 0 and 120 degrees based on the target zone. Once the water supply valve is opened, the internal water wheel immediately begins turning, driving the gear mechanism that sweeps the nozzle back and forth automatically, providing continuous, unmanned cooling and suppression.
