Benefits
When dealing with large-scale industrial fires, sheer water volume combined with absolute control is critical. The enclosed worm gear system on this monitor allows a single operator to pinpoint a massive water stream effortlessly, even under a maximum service pressure of 175 psi. The geared mechanism prevents sudden kickbacks and securely locks the monitor in its aimed position, significantly enhancing operator safety. The hot dip galvanized interior guarantees maximum protection against internal rust, ensuring your waterway remains clear and ready. With its low profile design, the unit remains perfectly stable during high velocity discharges, protecting your personnel and your property.
Usage / How to Use
This ultra high-capacity geared monitor is designed for permanent installation in extremely high-risk industrial zones such as oil storage tank farms, offshore drilling platforms, aviation hangars, and petrochemical processing plants. It mounts securely to a high-capacity pressurized fire water manifold using its robust 150 mm flanged base. During a fire event, a responder uses the two attached metal handwheels to smoothly crank the monitor horizontally and vertically to target the flames. Once properly aligned, the main supply valve is opened to release a continuous, devastating stream of water or foam precisely where it is needed.
